Every year, the followers of Ahlul-Bait commemorate the martyrdom of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad across the globe. From Karbala, the city of Imam Hussein, to Ford Road, site of the YMA, people gather each night in memory of the great Imam Hussein. Imam Sayid Hassan Al-Qazwini will commemorate the event of Ashura this year, as he does every year. The commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein will be held at the Islamic Center of America and the Young Muslim Association. Imam Qazwini lectures at both the Islamic Center and the YMA each night. He lectures about topics such as the significance of Ashura, the message of Imam Hussein, and many other important Islamic topics. He lectures first at the YMA in English, and then in Islamic Center at the Arabic. Sayid Mohammad Baqir Al-Qazwini, the son of Imam Qazwini, will also be lecturing in the English program, as will Hasanain Rajab Ali. Insha'allah the program will continue for the first 11 days of Muharram, and Insha'allah it will be a great year for the commemoration of Imam Hussein.
