As Muharram 1425 approached, the followers of Ahlul-bait all over the world commenced the annual commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein [a]. People gather each night for either ten nights or a month, and listen to Islamic lectures and mourn for Imam Hussein. Imam Sayid Hassan Al-Qazwini commemorated the event of Ashura this year, as he does every year. The commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein commenced at the Islamic Center of America and the Young Muslim Association. Imam Qazwini lectures at both the Islamic Center and the YMA each night. He lectures about topics such as the significance of Ashura, the message of Imam Hussein, and many other important Islamic topics. He lectures first at the YMA in English, and then in Islamic Center at the Arabic. Insha'allah the program will continue for the first 11 days of Muharram, and Insha'allah it will be a great year for the commemoration of Imam Hussein.
