Sayid Abdul
Aziz Al-Hakim, the Chairman of the Supreme Council for the
Islamic Revolution in
Iraq, along with a high ranking Iraqi delegation visited
the Islamic Center of America and met with Imam Hassan Qazwini
on Saturday December 9.. The delegation accompanying Sayid
Al-Hakim included Sheikeh Humam Hamoudi the Chairman of foreign
Relations Committee in the Iraqi
parliament, Dr. Akram Al- Hakim the Minister of State for
Dialogue Affairs, Mr. Ridha Taki
Parliament Member, Mrs. Layla Al-Khafaji a
Parliament Member and a few others.
In the
Reception held for the honor of Sayid Al-Hakim, Imam Qazwini
welcomed the guest and spoke of his long standing achievements.
Imam Qazwini alluded to that fact that Sayid Al-Hakim comes from
a very honorable family that is known for its sacrifices, great
contributions, and scholarly history. Imam Qazwini also spoke
about the great challenges facing
Iraq today, mainly the Bathiest Loyalists and the Falafi
Terrorists, and hoped that
Iraq may recover from its plight and that the people of
Iraqi may have a new shining future.
Sayid Al-Hakim
in his remarks emphasized the fact that Sadam's brutal regime is
no longer in charge and the Iraqis, despite the grim situation
engulfing
Iraq today, are exercising their democratic rights by
having participated in three free elections in one year.
Furthermore, Imam Qazwini gave the respected guest a tour of the
newly built mosque before the reception. The respected Sayid
Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim expressed admiration and jubilation for
having this great landmark of Islam in the West.
